The Institut für Sicherheitstechnik/Schiffssicherheit e.V. (ISV) was founded in Rostock Warnemünde in 1991 as a non-profit extramural association aiming to promote science and research, training and education in the fields of security technology and safety of ships. This aim especially serves to protect man and environment from the hazards arising from using technical systems and to avoid or minimise ecological and economical losses through averages and accidents.
