Maintenance and repair of mass spectrometers
For the instruction of service engineers in the maintenance and repair of mass spectrometers (device used for example in chemistry to determine the mass composition of chemical compounds), using a 3D model, the user can undertake maintenance work or exchange spare parts on the virtual device. This Web Based Training (WBT) is part of a comprehensive concept, which consists of practice and lessons plus e-learning elements (Blended Learning).

Software training to instruct several hundred worldwide situated editors how to operate a newly introduced research system. The users are quickly and effectively schooled in handling the system using guided exercises. The Web Based Training (WBT) was embedded into a Learning Management System (LMS) which was optimised to meet the requirements of the agency.

Providing practical knowledge alongside the work at the crime scene, developed for the Bildungsinstitut der Polizei Niedersachsen. On the basis of case studies, the user works out the procedure when arriving at a crime scene, i.e. after a break-in. This includes questioning of witnesses, securing evidence and proof. The learning program has been embedded into a Learning Management System (LMS).

Water tank containers (WTCs) with water treatment facilities are used for water purification. When raw water and sufficient fuel for the electricity generator is available, these systems can be operated self-sustainingly over long time periods. The systems are in use world-wide.
A Web Based Training (WBT) and a virtual reality simulation on WTC operation were developed for the WTC operators. Furthermore, one chapter of the learning software explains how to fix potential malfunctions.
After working through the learning program, the trainees apply their new knowledge in the virtual environment, where they interactively take the WTC into operation.
