Seal of quality with distinction for virtual reality learning programszenaris: e-learning solution for mobile water treatment awarded vebn seal of quality with distinction

Bremen, 22 April 2013 – High-capacity water treatment tanks are often used in crisis regions to purify large amounts of water. Bremen-based szenaris GmbH has developed a comprehensive e-learning solution for operating and maintaining these facilities, which has now received the seal of quality of the e-learning industry association vebn (Verband eLearning Business Norddeutschland). Due to its extraordinarily high score – it achieved 97 of 100 possible points –, the system was awarded the seal of quality with distinction.
Water treatment tanks are used mainly by aid organisations and the military. To train their operators, szenaris has developed both learning software and a virtual reality simulation for commissioning the tanks. The learning software also includes a chapter on how to rectify potential problems.
After working through the learning program, users put their knowledge into practice in a virtual environment by starting up the water tank system step by step. In a further virtual reality application, users can interactively select and order replacement parts directly from a 3D model.
Since 2008, vebn has been awarding its seal of quality to selected e-learning solutions developed by its members in order to establish greater transparency for users regarding the quality of individual solutions. Further improvements to the products are also made in the course of the review procedure.
To receive the seal of quality, systems must meet numerous requirements in a total of 90 criteria covering aspects such as technology, content, teaching methodology and cost-benefit ratio.

szenaris awarded framework contract for staff training at Konica MinoltaA framework contract has been concluded for the production of e-learning modules for the Konica Minolta Academy.

Bremen, September 6th 2012 – Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe GmbH has concluded a framework contract with szenaris GmbH for the creation of e-learning modules. The training specialists from Bremen have been contracted to develop various learning modules to address technical and sales topics.

One of the joint responsibilities of the Konica Minolta Academy at the European headquarters in Langenhagen near Hanover, Germany is the production of e-learning modules for worldwide use. For this aspect of its remit, it sometimes commissions external service providers such as szenaris GmbH.
Prior to conclusion of the framework contract, szenaris GmbH demonstrated its expertise by devising two learning modules with a processing time of 60 minutes each – evidently to Konica Minolta’s satisfaction. The quality of the modules not only won over the Hanover office, but the headquarters in America, Australia and Asia also approved these superior solutions.
“We are very much looking forward to working with a large and innovative provider of print and document workflow solutions,” says szenaris Managing Director Dr. Uwe Katzky in anticipation of the upcoming project.

Successful delivery of a virtual reality training system for makeshift bridgesszenaris delivers the CoCBT training system “Foldable Longspan Bridge” to the German Army

Bremen, July 5th 2012 – After a project duration of 14 months, the training system “Cooperative Computer-Based Training (CoCBT) for the Foldable Longspan Bridge (FLB)” has been successfully handed over to the German army. The existing platform, on which the bridging systems “Amphibian M3” and “Improved Ribbon Bridge (IRB)” developed by szenaris are already implemented, has now been extended by the training system “Foldable Longspan Bridge (FLB)”.

The project, which started in April 2011, has been developed on the basis of the existing hardware platform. The platform is already in use since December 2002 with the CoCBT training system “Amphibian M3” in the Herzog-von-Braunschweig barracks in Minden. The CoCBT training system “Improved Ribbon Bridge” followed in October 2008.
An important aspect of this training system is to minimise damages to the bridge laying systems, to impart knowledge about the first steps with these complex bridge laying systems to the future operators and to keep the users in practise.
The cooperation for the operation of diverse military engineer bridging systems is trained in a virtual reality simulation with networked workplaces comprising several PCs each. Using a scalable technology, additional trainee workplaces can be integrated or the view into the virtual world can be enhanced up to a 360° panorama view. Furthermore, additional contents can be added to the system.
Experienced operators from different FLB units have tested the system and concluded that the training system is well thought out, realistically depicted and especially well suitable for the training of novices.

Supporting worldwide networked learning through innovative ideas and diversityszenaris presents newly developed training and simulation systems at LEARNTEC 2012

Bremen, January 18th, 2012 – LEARNTEC 2012, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, will focus on the valuable interconnection of education, learning and information technology. From 31 January to 2 February in Karlsruhe, szenaris GmbH will be demonstrating how to ideally combine the three factors.

Wide range of technologies, teaching methods and topics in e-learning

Worldwide networking is making more and more training topics relevant and interesting to the e-learning sector. Innovative new developments in information technology are contributing significantly to making education and learning more effective. “We explore the wide range of technical and teaching possibilities for e-learning products in order to select precisely the right method for each learning topic”, explains szenaris managing director Klaus Bock-Müller. The training and simulation systems created by szenaris clearly reflect this principle.
At LEARNTEC 2012, the Bremen-based company will exhibit new products developed over the previous two years and invite interested visitors to literally immerse themselves in various training systems by offering them the opportunity not only to test their skill with the expanded version of the virtual reality training “Remote-Controlled Robots” but also to control a diving robot.
In addition, szenaris will present other systems developed to provide training for IT service engineers and operators of agricultural machinery.

Talks on 3D reality modelling and on simulation systems

LEARNTEC 2012 will again be accompanied by a high-class convention programme focusing on a number of key topics.
In the “Technology” key topic, Dr. Uwe Katzky will hold a talk on 1 February on a method of creating precise 3D models of reality. In his presentation, the managing director of szenaris will show how real environments can be made available in virtual worlds in a very short time using photo panoramas and point clouds recorded by laser.
The LEARNTEC customer forum will focus on how e-learning can successfully be deployed, and highlight current trends in this field. One example are the szenaris simulation systems for remote-controlled robots, which Klaus Bock-Müller will present at the first customer forum on 31 January.
Visit us at Stand C52 in the dm-arena from 31 January to 2 February 2012 and don’t miss the chance to win an iPad 2. The szenaris team looks forward to meeting you.

Older People learn differently, not worseBavarian research association “Fit4Age” presents final report – including research results from szenaris GmbH focusing on the learning behaviour of older people.

Bremen, April 28th, 2011 – Numerous project partners from the industry and science developed solutions for the challenges of demographic change in the “Fit4Age” research association, which has been working for the last three years. Together with the University of Applied Sciences in Munich and the University of Regensburg, szenaris GmbH looked at the conditions under which also older people can be successfully qualified with e-learning.
Sociologists refer to the fact that less and less junior employees are available for companies, while at the same time the number of older employees is constantly increasing, as “age scissor effect”. More and more companies therefore invest in the continuous qualification of their older employees, especially with learning forms that can be applied in close proximity of the workplace. Using employees in the logistics industry as a case study, szenaris and its research partners investigated the special requirements for older people learning with digital media.
“One major finding is that older people are learning differently rather than worse than their younger co-workers, and this has consequences for the design of learning programs”, says Dr. Uwe Katzky, managing director of szenaris GmbH. For example, older people prefer learning programs which can be worked through in a linear way and which feature a simple, barrier-free user interface. Younger people on the other hand tend to learn in an explorative manner. Life-long learning is important for both target groups, though, since only learning on a regular basis can prevent one’s learning abilities from getting rusty.

Bremen, April 20th, 2011 – The German Federal Agency for Military Technology, Koblenz, has commissioned szenaris to develop a training system for the operation of makeshift bridges. The so-called foldable long-span bridges (FLB) are used in military and humanitarian missions when a region is cut off from land routes. The project has started in April 2011.
szenaris will implement the project on an existing hardware platform, the “CoCBT system” (Co-operative Computer Based Training), also called Virtual Reality Team Trainer, to reduce costs for the Federal Agency. The platform is installed in Minden since 2003 and has been refurbished in 2010. So far, the bridge systems “Amphibian M3” and “Improved Ribbon Bridge (IRB)” are implemented on the CoCBT system.
This virtual reality simulation enables a group of learners to train most complex procedures in a common virtual environment. The CoCBT platform supporting the training of completely different systems on one hardware platform constitutes a system which is unique in the world. The development of the “Foldable Long-Span Bridge (FLB) Computer Based Training Equipment” is scheduled to be completed in March 2012.

Virtual Explosive Ordnance Disposal in Cologne Exhibition Hallsszenaris presents virtual reality simulations on the ITEC 2011

Bremen, April 14th, 2011 – Innovative solutions for training and education are at the centre of the ITEC 2011 trade fair, which will take place in the Cologne exhibition halls from May 10th to 12th, 2011. State-of-the-art simulation systems are becoming increasingly important in this context. szenaris GmbH will present an improved version of its virtual reality simulation “Remote-Controlled Robots” and its simulation system for building makeshift bridges to the international expert audience.
With more than 110 exhibitors, 132 speakers at the congress and several thousand expected visitors, the ITEC continues to be Europe's largest trade fair for military training and education. Being an important provider for IT solutions for advanced training methods, szenaris will introduce new technological developments in Cologne. After having showcased an earlier version of the “Remote-Controlled Robots” virtual reality training already last year, szenaris will now present the fully functional final version. In the virtual learning environment, users control realistic 3D models of remote-controlled robotic vehicles to dispose of explosive ordnance.
The scenario editor as a supplementary module furthermore enables the trainer to individually adapt the training mission by means of numerous parameters such as terrain conditions or IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices). Thus, the virtual reality training reduces the perils and costs of the training while increasing the learning success at the same time.
The simulation system “Virtual Team Trainer (VTT)” for building makeshift bridges is another highlight at the szenaris booth. After the “Amphibian M3”, the second bridge system “Foldable Long-Span Bridge” has now been delivered to the Bundeswehr on this system.
“We invite anyone interested to visit us at booth A112 and take control of a virtual vehicle themselves”, says managing director Dr. Uwe Katzky. szenaris will also provide insights into its computer- and web based trainings on military topics.

Bremen, January 26th, 2011 – While extinguishing blazes, the fire brigades' fire chiefs and fire chief aspirants are exposed to many hazards. In order to reduce potential health risks, they are wearing respiratory protection devices. szenaris GmbH from Bremen has developed a training program focusing on the operation of such devices, which has now been awarded the vebn (Verband eLearning Business Norddeutschland) seal of quality.
Carriers of and maintenance personnel for respiratory protection devices of the German Army can get information on the respiratory protection device family in three modules. So far, eight training courses on this topic have been offered each year. The learning program now enables training for respiratory devices independent of time and location for the entire target group.
szenaris has converted the topics "Portable Respiratory Devices, 300 bars", "Respiratory Mask / NBC Protective Mask" and "Testing Devices" into a comprehensive didactical concept, in which the mere presentation of learning contents is always supplemented by questions and practical tasks. For this, the respiratory protection device family is visualised in 3D representations to ensure the highest level of realism. This resulted in a comprehensible presentation of the design and the correct operation of the respiratory protection device family for the target group.
This opinion is shared by the vebn, which certifies that the learning program has a high level of practical relevance. The association especially appreciates the combination of relevant photos and operational descriptions as being excellent and of high quality. For this reason, the jury awarded szenaris GmbH the vebn seal of quality 2010 for the Computer Based Training program "Portable Respiratory Devices, 300 bars".

Bremen, January 20th, 2011 – szenaris has already received two renowned awards for the “Safety at work online” learning program. From February 1st through 3rd, 2011, this program will also be in the focus of the corporate presentation on the “Learntec” trade fair in Karlsruhe. A further highlight is the presentation of training systems for the remote operation of autonomous vehicles.

Virtual vehicles with extremely realistic behaviour

On the Learntec, szenaris gives an insight into new developments from the last two years. The “Manipulator Vehicles Training Equipment”, which has been produced for the Explosive Ordnance Disposal squad of the Bundeswehr and has been delivered to the customer at the end of last year, has a key role among those developments. Manipulator vehicles are remote controlled robotic systems which are e. g. used to carry out dangerous tasks. The training system from szenaris enables the training of the operation of two remote controlled manipulator vehicles which are used by the Bundeswehr, “tEODor” and “Packbot”. The system uses virtual reality but supports the original control devices.
In 13 virtual scenarios, ranging from an airport and train station to a town hall and a bus, the trainer can place different suspicious objects, which the trainee needs to find and dispose of with a manipulator vehicle. Special advantages of the system are excellent graphical quality and an extremely realistic behaviour of the virtual vehicles up to the realistic handling of objects. szenaris invites all EOD squad members to see the system on the Learntec. Other users of remote controlled robotic devices will also receive suggestions on how to optimise the training with a similar system.

Award-winning twice: training series on safety at work

All employers in Germany are obliged to instruct their employees on safety health protection at work – on a regular basis, if needed. This is what the safety at work act requires. As is generally known, the professional associations and accident insurance companies primarily monitor the companies’ compliance with the provisions of this act. The “Safety at work online” learning program series vividly and effectively imparts all important information which employers should be aware of to avoid accidents at work.
The learning program comprises 17 topics ranging from alcohol and first aid to hazardous substances and traffic. Each module can be worked through in about 20 minutes and concludes with a test consisting of five randomly selected questions. The passed test serves as a certificate and can be printed out.
This Internet based solution does not require training personnel to be present anymore. This considerably saves personnel costs and precious time. The economic efficiency increases significantly. An acceptance test revealed that more than 80 percent of the test subjects appreciated this new way of learning as a significant quality improvement due to the appropriate presentation of learning contents. Additional modules and topics will be produced in 2011.

szenaris GmbH awards digitalPROCESS a contract to setup a DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 compliant Quality Management System.

Bremen / Regensburg, November 4th, 2010. szenaris GmbH awards Georg Flammersberger, digitalPROCESS & greenQUALITY, a contract to setup a DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 compliant Quality Management System.
No matter if operation or maintenance processes for a technical system need to be explained, function principles are to be visualised or a Virtual Reality Training for operating a robot is required - szenaris is the expert creating custom-tailored learning software and simulation systems based on state-of-the-art technology.
Consequently, the applications developed by szenaris need to be exact and precise. At szenaris, this demand is not only applied for the development, but also for all processes and work steps required to move the company a step ahead each day.
For this reason, the szenaris management has decided to introduce a DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 compliant Quality Management System. In this process, the fact that Mrs. Birgit Neumann, working in the szenaris content development team, had already successfully completed a Quality Management distance learning course fit perfectly. And with Georg Flammersberger, who already had implemented several Quality Management Systems, an experienced implementation partner was found.
After the first discussions, the requirements for the planned project soon became clear:

Successful DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 certification
Practicability of the system and inclusion of the employees
Only minimal disturbances of the day-to-day business by introducing the system
Know-how transfer into the company and incorporation of the industry’s experiences

The foundation for a smooth project flow was laid in a workshop in which a project plan was developed.
A unique characteristic of the szenaris Quality Management System (sz-QMS) is the process committee. In it, the employees in charge of the individual processes design a completely integrated process system. The committee will continue to work as a coordination authority during normal operation. In it, also the continual improvement process will be carried on. This is the central aspect of the szenaris quality policy.
Currently, the setup process is in full process and the implementation takes place smoothly. The project plan is flexible enough to be able to consider day-to-day business appointments and requirements. For digitalPROCESS, it is important that the processes are optimally adapted to the business realities and that the employees can bring in their experiences to ensure that the processes are 100 % integrated rather than feeling that they only work to fulfil a norm. Consequently, the communication with the employees and their participation in the system setup is the first priority. It is needless to say, though, that at the end of the day, the certification itself determines the success of the project.
Birgit Neumann, the future Quality Management Representative, focuses on the successful certification audit as well as on the practical implementation of the norm. So far, the project progression satisfies all parties involved.

Comenius EduMedia-Siegel 2010"Safety at work online" Internet based solution awarded accolade

Bremen, June 25th, 2010. Even The German Federal Army is obliged, under § 12 of the German Safety at work Legislation (ArbSchG), to instruct their employees and soldiers about health and safety protection. For this purpose, szenaris GmbH, Bremen has developed a web based solution which has now been distinguished with an award.
With 19 modules covering 17 subjects, all 280,000 employees of the German Federal Army can be instructed, free from the constraints of time and location, in elements of work safety that are relevant to them. Until now everyone had to be schooled once a year, for the most part, in a lecture format. Using that process, simple attendance counted as proof of training. The new internet learning program based solution, called Web Based Training, makes instruction possible without the presence of a trainer. An internet work station and the personal user identification of the employee are all that is needed to work through the learning module and to complete it with a test as proof of understanding.
szenaris has already converted 17 relevant work safety topics for the German Federal Army into didactical tailored modules; from alcohol through to police dogs, first aid, hazardous substances and road traffic. Each module can be worked through in about 20 minutes. All the necessary media have been incorporated into a platform-independent elearning program. These include screen text, hyper text, audio, photographs, 2D- and 3D graphics as well as animations. Presenting all of the content through such high quality visualisation makes it comprehensible to the entire target group.
Each module concludes with a final test which poses five randomly generated questions. A passed test is valid as proof of learning and can be printed out as a certificate. The results can simultaneously be archived by the employer. The concept of all employees working concurrently though one module is theoretically possible.
What is novel about this internet based approach is that training staff no longer have to be on-site. This saves significant personnel costs and also valuable time; significantly improving efficiency. An acceptance test has proved that more than 80 percent of people tested see this new way of learning as a clear improvement in quality due to the appropriate presentation of the learning content. Further modules and topics are to be developed in 2010.
szenaris GmbH hopes to convert also other organisations to this unique concept.
"Safety at work" was presented with the Comenius EduMedia-Siegel on 25th June 2010 in Berlin. It is the second award for "Safety at work" after the Corporate Media "Award of Master" in December 2009.
Before April 2009, szenaris was the "Training & Simulation" division of Ray Sono AG, Munich for eight years. At the beginning of the year, the Bremen team undertook a management buyout and established themselves in the existing divisional offices.

Bremen, Mai 31th, 2010. The Bremen-based szenaris GmbH, specialised in e-learning and Virtual Reality simulations, is exhibiting at the Undersea Defence Technology 2010 (UDT) for the first time. The UDT is taking place for the 23rd time this year and has come back to Hamburg.
The core competencies of szenaris are conception, development and implementation of PC-based learning software and simulation systems.
At the company offices near Bremen airport, the creative team of developers, IT specialists, web designers and authors create custommade solutions for learning programs, team training and simulations. Dr. Uwe Katzky und Klaus Bock-Müller are more than satisfied with the start szenaris has made as a management buyout in 2009. Not only did szenaris maintain and grow the customer base, but the new independence also gives szenaris the chance for further internationalisation. In comparison to the figures before the management buyout, today's results already show sales growth of over ten percent.
In the past years, the szenaris team realised numerous projects in the underwater area, which are presented at the UDT for the first time. Among these projects are submarine and periscope simulations, learning software and underwater simulations for mine divers and for the operation of a sonar system for moored mine detection.
Furthermore, in the course of the conference on Thursday, June 10th from 1:45 pm, Klaus Bock-Müller, managing director of szenaris GmbH, will conduct a presentation titled “Underwater Explosive Ordnance Disposal for Mine Clearance Divers” and introduce the training system for mine divers which szenaris has developed for the German Navy.
The currently available GNOM diving robot online demo simulation is a further highlight.

Counter-IED with virtual worlds created by szenaris

Bremen, April 16th, 2010. After a successful management buyout in early 2009, szenaris GmbH, Bremen, presents itself at the ITEC 2010 with new Virtual Reality Simulations. The core competence of szenaris is the concept, development and implementation of PC based learning software and simulation systems.
In reality, conventional training can rarely provide effective preparation for dangerous situations. Highly specialised robotic vehicles assist in CIED (Counter-Improvised Explosive Devices) tasks and save lives. Training with these remote controlled manipulator vehicles is usually impossible to achieve in the operational area.
For such robots, szenaris GmbH has developed two virtual simulations for operator training: PackBot EOD and tEODor. Using the original control equipment, a bridge is created to operate the vehicle in the virtual world via a standard PC interface. A highly detailed, fully functional virtual model of the vehicle is displayed on screen. The camera images, the environment of the vehicle and the robot itself are all detailed in the simulation. This virtual training allows the choice of training environments, the positioning of IEDs or other objects as well as adjusting environmental parameters. The degrees of difficulty are variable. These virtual training situations simulate a wide range of surroundings and environmental parameters such as weather or lighting conditions.
Learning software designed for various fields of activity is another element of the szenaris portfolio - for example, securing a crime scene, change management for executives, team training or the operation of agricultural machinery. In December 2009, szenaris was distinguished with the "Award of Master" for the "Safety at work online" Internet based learning program. The client was the German Federal Army.
At the company offices near Bremen airport, a creative team of 27 developers, IT specialists, Web designers and authors create custommade solutions for learning programs, team training and simulations. The two managing partners are more than satisfied with the start szenaris has made in 2009. One of the managing partners, Dr. Uwe Katzky, stated: "Not only did szenaris maintain and grow the customer base but our new independence also gives szenaris the chance for further internationalization. In comparison to the figures before the management buyout, today's results already show sales growth of over ten percent."

szenaris.com perfectly set-up for the CeBIT 2010

Bremen, February 25th, 2010. szenaris GmbH, Bremen, specialist for e-learning and Virtual Reality Simulations, has optimised it’s homepage in time for the CeBIT 2010. The core competencies like conception, development and implementation of PC based learning software and simulation systems are now clearly explained and exemplified with practical examples for experts and anyone interested.
After the management buyout a year ago, an orientation towards new target groups and markets became necessary. The new company presentation clearly shows the portfolio, products and solutions as well as branches and partners and is not only a feast for the eyes, but also a showcase for the application fields of PC based learning in diverse industries.
The feast for the eyes refers to a clear structure prepending a thematically fitting animal photo to each page. The navigation architecture convincingly reveals the actual competency in the e-learning field. The orientation is clearly structured at any point, the forward and backward helping to make a learning step comprehensible becomes explicit. The online demos of the GNOM diving robot and the "Change Management" programs are especially interesting.
The website was completely realised in-house with the szenaris competency team of 27 software developers, media designers, authors, teachers and psychologists, which also realises all client-specific solutions. Dr. Katzky, one of the two managing partners of szenaris, says: "We develop all steps with our team, including necessary film shots for our client's virtual worlds and 3D animations. A recording studio with professional speakers for the audio texts in our learning programs is the only production site we are using which is not in-house."
At the company offices near Bremen airport, the team of developers, IT specialists, Web designers and authors create custom-made solutions for learning programs, team training and simulations.

Bremen, 08th February 2010 – After a successful management buyout in early 2009, szenaris GmbH, Bremen, presents itself at CeBIT 2010 with new Virtual Reality Simulations. The core competence of szenaris is the concept, development and implementation of PC based learning software and simulation systems.
As a result of media reports from danger zones, everyone is now familiar with the small remote controlled robots which explore terrain or recover dangerous objects. Naturally, the control of these robotic vehicles has to be intensively learned and practised in a safe environment. To achieve this, szenaris GmbH has created virtual vehicles in the form of highly detailed virtual models which make it possible to operate and control these systems using the original operating consoles on the computer. These virtual training situations simulate a wide range of environmental surroundings and environmental parameters such as weather or lighting conditions.
Learning software designed for various fields of activity is another element of the portfolio - for example, securing a crime scene, change management for executives, team training or the operation of agricultural machinery. In December 2009, szenaris was distinguished with the "Award of Master" for the "Safety at work online" Internet based learning program. The client was the German Federal Army.
At the company offices near Bremen airport, the creative team of 27 developers, IT-specialists, Web designers and authors create custommade solutions for learning programs, team training and simulations. The two managing partners are more than satisfied with the start szenaris has made in 2009.
Corporate Media Award of Master 2009“Safety at work online” Internet based solution awarded accolade

Bremen, 04th December 2009 – Even The German Federal Army is obliged, under § 12 of the German Safety at work Legislation (ArbSchG), to instruct their employees and soldiers about health and safety protection.
All the necessary media have been incorporated into a platform-independent e-learning program.
Further modules and topics are to be developed in 2010.
szenaris GmbH hopes to convert more organisations to this unique concept.
“Safety at work” was presented with the “Award of Master” on 4th December 2009 in Stuttgart. szenaris has previously received numerous awards from the Corporate Media organisation. Before April 2009, szenaris was the “Training & Simulation” division of Ray Sono AG, Munich for eight years. At the beginning of the year, the Bremen team undertook a management buyout and established themselves in the existing divisional offices.

Under a new name: szenaris GmbH emerges out of the Ray Sono "Training & Simulation" division

Bremen, 23th April 2009 - Within the framework of a Management Buyout, the Bremen Team takes control of an already established business division and, with the newly founded enterprise, continues to build the business.
The former Ray Sono AG "Training & Simulation" division gets a new company structure: Under the name szenaris GmbH, the two acting partners Klaus Bock-Mueller and Dr. Uwe Katzky will continue to manage the Bremen team who, for over 8 years, have grown the customer base and will continue to develop the business.
"With szenaris GmbH, we are converting an established division of Ray Sono AG into its own business. This way, the company can position itself more clearly in the market in the future and can impart a clear message to the existing customer base as well as to new customers: szenaris offers a complete portfolio and professional competence developed over many years in the disciplines of training, personal development and simulation. Our proven team of 26 associates has been transferred, in its entirety, to the new business - thus maintaining continuity for our customers at all times" say the managing directors Klaus Bock-Mueller and Dr. Uwe Katzky.
Thomas Fehr, CEO of Ray Sono AG, says that separating the division is part of a long-term strategic adjustment: "Since its establishment, Ray Sono has always understood itself to be an incubator for new technologies, methods and trends. The 'Training & Simulation' division has been successfully developed by us since 2001 and is now strong enough to stand on its own feet in the marketplace. Ray Sono will concentrate principally on the traditionally strongest 'Portals' division. That doesn't mean that, in the future, there won't be any new, innovative trends developed in a proven way within our own divisions."
Under the slogan "We future you, NOW!", szenaris GmbH have set themselves the goal of becoming a leading provider of training and simulation solutions in German-speaking countries. Driving this is an experienced staff in the fields of didactics/methodology, conception, design, programming and project management. Cooperation and research projects with notable colleges and universities guarantee that the interaction concepts and solutions provided by szenaris GmbH are always in line with the latest scientific thinking.
"Close-to-reality simulations elegantly complement conventional training concepts. Our complete solutions, consisting of hardware and software, are scalable, in a way that makes it possible for organisations with small budgets to access Virtual Reality Simulations" says Klaus Bock-Mueller. "szenaris is big enough and stable enough to survive in the market and, at the same time, small enough to be able to respond flexibly and innovatively to the demands of its customers."
