SZENARIS Creates Learning Program for Reconnaissance Software
The Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (Bundesamt für Bevölkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe, BBK) is equipping the German federal states with a new generation of CBRN reconnaissance vehicles and command and control units. These are used in the event of chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) hazards.
The reconnaissance vehicles are equipped with various measuring devices and new reconnaissance software developed by tms (technische-mathematische studiengesellschaft mbH). The reconnaissance software enables, among other things, the creation and receipt of reconnaissance orders, the execution and documentation of measurement orders and communication with the measurement management. As a subcontractor of tms, SZENARIS has created a comprehensive learning program for operating the reconnaissance software. In six modules, the crews not only learn about the structure and administration options of the software. Rather, the focus of the learning program is on the practical application of the software using an exemplary reconnaissance mission. In combination with the multiplier training courses at the Federal Academy for Civil Protection and Civilian Defense (Bundesakademie für Bevölkerungsschutz und Zivile Verteidigung, BABZ), the crews are thus prepared for their missions in the new reconnaissance vehicles.
